About me

I am a Computer Science PhD student at UC Irvine, where I began my studies in Fall 2019 under the guidance of Prof. Stephan Mandt. My research focuses on neural-based image/video compression and generation. In addition, I have a keen interest in applying deep generative models to various domains, including natural science and music.

Prior to joining UC Irvine, I completed my bachelor’s degree in computer science at NYU Shanghai. During my time there, I served as a research assistant under the supervision of Prof. Gus Xia, exploring generative modeling in the context of music. I also worked with Prof. Hanghui Chen, conducting research on computational material science.
